  THE PHAT PHREE

 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

"THE PHAT PHREE"

The launch of the Phat Phree at www.phat5.com marks the return of the once popular print magazine of the same name. First published in 1996, the old Phat Phree was 20 pages of irreverent comedy, reviews, interviews, comics, and, in a good month, a serious article or two. During its three year run, the Phat Phree became required reading for every hip college student from Youngstown State to OSU. Published by the once mighty Phat 5 Productions, which also produced the widely popular "Phat Monday’s" live comedy show in Kent, OH, two feature films, and dozens of short films – the original Phat Phree was a favorite among the group as well as with fans.

The Phat Phree’s online return marks the reuniting of many of the people who made the old magazine and the group so popular nearly a decade ago. Last Call Cleveland’s Chad Zumock, a founding member of Phat 5 Productions, brings his talents as well the talents of some of his Last Call Cleveland cohorts – from Cleveland’s number one comedy group. The other members of Phat 5 Productions are also back including Charlie DeMarco and Jesse Lamovsky. Other comedy favorites like, Justin Harvey, Michael Levicky, Ed Ackerman and Jessica Tandy are also on the ever-growing slate of writers.

Unlike the old print Phat Phree, the new Phat Phree will not be published in monthly issues, but rather new articles, comics and features will be posted daily by writers all over the country. With strongholds in Cleveland and Los Angeles, the publishers are expanding the writing roster to include great writers from all over the country.

The content of the new Phat Phree will the same biting satire, silly jokes, hilarious parodies, comical rants, crazy reviews, hysterical comics and insightful commentary that made the original magazine so much fun. It’s Retro-Crush, Grand Royal, Mad Magazine, The Onion, Fark.com, some crispy bacon, Sports Illustrated, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn all rolled into one. It will be the biggest thing on the internet since Penis Enlargement Email Offers! www.phat5.com
