On Friday, March 4, 2005 Katherine Plank, Director of the Oberlin
Choristers,
 will present a workshop for church choir directors entitled "Developing
a Beautiful Sound in the Church Children's Choir."  The workshop is
being sponsored by the Northern Ohio Chapter of Choristers Guild and
will be held at Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights. The Workshop
runs from 7-8:30 p.m. and the cost is $7.  Pre-registration is required.

Katherine Plank is founder and artistic director of the Oberlin
Choristers, 
a community-based choral program for children and youth in northeast
Ohio.  
Founded in 1990 the choir now includes over 300 singers in 5 choirs.
Ms. 
Plank has toured with the choir in England, Italy, Canada, and Hawaii.
This 
summer they will make a concert tour of Scotland.
 
A graduate of the University of Louisville with degrees in Music
Education, 
Organ Performance, and Church Music, Ms. Plank has over 25 years
experience 
as a classroom teacher, and director of church choirs and community
choirs.  
Of special interest to Ms. Plank is the development of the young voice
and 
the children's choir choral sound.

The Chicago based ensemble "The Leading Brand" is returning to
Cleveland this Friday Feb 18th for one night only to preview their
newest Comedy "The Unbearable Lightness of Death" before it's 5 week
run at the Apollo Theatre in Chicago.

The show is being performed at The Cleveland Black Box Theatre in
Cabaret Dada at 8pm and will hosted by Mike Polk from Last Call
Cleveland.
