Dear NEohioPAL Friends,
I would like to invite you to a very exciting concert this Saturday
night! The final concert in Chapel, Court & Countryside's 2004-05
season will feature two virtuoso musicians from Seattle: baroque
violinist Ingrid Matthews and harpsichordist Byron Schenkman.
Alums of Indiana University, they founded the Seattle Baroque Orchestra
11 years ago and have both enjoyed international solo careers, as well
as duo concerts throughout the world. Their program features
17th-century Dutch & German works, including sonatas, song settings,
and variations by Sweelinck, Muffat, Schmeltzer, and others, including
the "Annunciation" Sonata by Biber.
Ingrid & Byron are offering a free masterclass on Friday at 12:30 in
Harkness, for students in the Case/CIM Joint Music Program. The concert
is Saturday at 7:30, followed by an informal Q&A Session with the
artists. It's held at Harkness Chapel, on the Case campus, 11120
Bellflower Road (near the intersection of Ford & Bellflower, across the
street from the Frank Gehry building). Parking is available in the
Church of the Covenant lot, off of Euclid.
We hope you'll join us for this marvelous program! Tickets are normally
$20 regular, and $10 for students. But for NEohioPAL, you'll get
discounted tickets at $15 regular or $5 students!
Come hear their "abundant talent & generous spirit" (Seattle
Post-Intelligencer) and you'll be "wildly, and deservedly,
enthusiastic" (Seattle Times)!

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
