Hi fellow NEOhioPal-ers:
As a graduate of The Second CIty (Cleveland), graduate of Players Workshop of
The Second City (Chicago), I have over 350 hours of improv training. As a
former member of the improv troupe, "General Eclectic," and producer/performer
of my own one-woman comedy show, THE SIX AGES OF WOMAN for the past 20+ years,
I know how important it is to "keep your chops up" when it comes to i
mprovization...a skill that will help you in all aspects of your acting careers.
As a columnist for BLUE-IZE magazine, I strive to help others stay happy and
successful in their acting careers. I just wanted to share with all of you
who have improv experience and want to keep your skills sharpened, or those who
have never had an improv class, that I am VERY IMPRESSED with the training
provided by THE CLEVELAND IMPROV INSTITUTE and the terrific teachers there.
Do yourselves a favor and check them out. Their teaching techniques are TOPS
and you will have FUN FUN FUN while learning or sharpening a skill that will
help you in COUNTLESS ways in your acting career. In addition, you will make
friends with other fun, creative types. An added bonus is that the classes
are held in the warm, inviting, comfortable and friendly environment of THE
HERMIT CLUB (In back of Playhouse Square).
