Subject: Prodigal Daughters information

Hi Cherie, Please pass this on to NEOhioPal. Thanks!

Mandy Altimus is a senior history major at the KSU Stark
Campus. As part of her senior honors thesis, she's
recreating a lost silent film from 1923 called "Prodigal
Daughters." There is no copy of the original film known to
exist. From surviving materials, such as photographs and a
novel, Paul Petrovic and Mandy Altimus wrote a screenplay.
The film is a "reformed flapper film" where two daughters
smoke, drink during prohibition, cavort around with men,
gamble, and then realize the error of their ways and return
home to repent. Currently, the film is about halfway
finished, but there are many more scenes where extras are
needed. Actors are all volunteers because this is a student
project, but anyone who volunteers to be in the film will
receive tickets to the film's premiere in September 2005.

Here is one upcoming filming date:

FILMING: Saturday, March 26th
12-4pm
Palace Theater in Canton
Scene: our main character (a flapper) is out on a date at
the movies

If you'd like to be part of the filming on March 26th, men
need to bring their own suit (white dress shirt, dress
pants, dress shoes, and coat)and women should wear a plain
dress that comes to their knees and provide their own
eyeliner and mascara. Black lipstick is optional. We have
extra for those who cannot provide it. Please contact Mandy
Altimus if you are interested: ama at nci2000.net Please put
"silent film" in the subject line.

For future filming dates, more information, photographs,
and clips, see Altimus'website:

Thank you!
