DETAILS:
Acting the Great Roles of William Shakespeare opens up a treasure chest of=20
information about acting Shakespeare, bringing his remarkable characterizati=
ons=20
and language in reach of the contemporary actor. Our focus is on script=20
analysis, the analysis of speech (diction, rhythm, vocal melody, imagery), a=
nd the=20
wealth of tips, clues and even 'stage directions' from the bards own pen=20
through deconstructing his verse. We discover the human heartbeat beneath t=
he=20
words and then apply the work of Stanislavsky to the speeches and scenes. A=
 new=20
kind of 'action' is explored: the action of speech, acting dramatic or comic=
=20
poetry. =20

Study of: Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, Midsummer Night=E2=80=99s Dream,=20=
Measure=20
for Measure, Macbeth, King Lear and Twelfth Night. Join us for a challengin=
g,=20
inspiring, vital workshop with the greatest of all playwrights.

WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE WORKSHOPS
Cleveland's Scene Magazine Names Tom Fulton Best Acting Teacher of 2004
"Many of the area's professional actors and quite a number of aspiring=20
amateurs seek out Tom Fulton for guidance in developing stage characterizati=
ons.
Basing his classes at the Fairmount Center on the teachings of Stanislavski,=
=20
Fulton goes far beyond the stereotype of self indulgent method acting. By=20
putting each performer in touch with the physical reality of the role under=20
consideration, Fulton purges actors of the "head games" they love to indulge=
 in--and=20
he does it all with a warm smile."
Kelly Holt (216-932-7511)

, where you are=20
expected to explore, and in which that exploration is appreciated. I highly=20
recommend Tom Fulton's acting class to novice and experienced actors."

-Mary Jane Nottage
=E2=80=9DTom has a knack of working individually with each student on their=20=
own level=20
and helping them solve their own particular acting problems. His criticism i=
s=20
always accompanied with suggestions and ideas on how to solve the acting=20
problems. =E2=80=A6 He has worked with me to help me find the honest, relaxe=
d and personal=20
approach=E2=80=A6=E2=80=9D
-Anne Markt-
=E2=80=9CTom is such an incredible teacher. Each and every time I went to cl=
ass I=20
witnessed a scene bloom from mediocre to mesmerizing. Tom=E2=80=99s directio=
n revealed=20
Chekhov=E2=80=99s true tragic and comedic genius, while taking us to levels=20=
as actors we=20
never knew we could reach. =E2=80=A6I=E2=80=99ll admit that if I had seen Ch=
ekhov or even=20
done it without taking these classes I would have been lost. I can=E2=80=99t=
 wait to=20
take all the skills I learned and apply them to the next show I=E2=80=99m in=
."

-Aaron Coleman-
"The insight I've learned will remain with me for the rest of my career and=20
my life. Tom coaches us to bring our own life experience and humanity to the=
