BOBBY CHILD, a young man in love with musical theatre; has the charm and =20
grace of Fred Astaire, must be an excellent singer/actor/tap dancer; tenor/l=

POLLY BAKER, postmistress, "All American Girl" and can be a bit  of a tomboy=

and the grace of Ginger Rogers; strong belter and good dancer with  at least=

some tap=20

BELA ZANGLER, an established Broadway producer; must  have good comic timing=

and a flawless Hungarian accent=20

IRENE ROTH, a  society debutante and Bobby's fianc=C3=A9e; sings a fierce to=

MOTHER  (Mrs. Lottie Child) Bobby's business oriented and domineering mother=

PERKINS,  Mother's business assistant; may be doubled with CUSTUS=20
