Portage Path, Akron </FONT><BR></FONT><BR><FONT size=5><FONT color=#330033>Production: "Swingtime Canteen" by Linda Thorsen Bond, William Repicci & Charles Busch<BR>Production Dates:  August 5-14, 2005<BR>Venue: OSF's outdoor stage at the Lagoon at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens<BR></FONT><BR><FONT color=#cc3399>Needed: (5) women, 20's to 40's, all strong singers, with (3) roles also playing musical instruments which can include: piano, drums, trumpet, alto and tenor sax, banjo, guitar & clarinet.  Some dance requirements.<BR></FONT><BR><FONT color=#339999>About the Show: "Swingtime Canteen" is a performance by an American all-girl USO troupe for the 8th US 
Airforce in London, 1944.  The score is comprised of standards of the day, including "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "I'll Be Seeing You," "Sing Sing Sing" and "Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive."</FONT><BR><BR><FONT color=#ff0033>For the Audition: Please come prepared (with sheet music) to sing one up-tempo number & one ballad.  Show music or standards only, please.  Please also come ready to play any musical instrument on which you are proficient.  (Keyboard/accompanist will be available at audition.)<BR></FONT><BR><FONT color=#00ff33>AEA (Special Appearances) and non-equity contracts.  Call Nancy Cates or Terry Burgler at (330) 673-8761, or email ohioshakespeare at aol.com for further information, if needed.  </FONT></FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV></DIV></div></html>
