The Elders of Jazz is a Dixieland group that plays for churches and civic
affairs throughout Northeast Ohio.  Our "repertoire" consists mostly of
hymns and spirituals played in a Dixieland style.  We do not play for pay,
as we consider this to be a ministry.  We all play by ear, and do not use
music.

This Sunday morning (April 3) we are playing for worship services at Avon
Lake Presbyterian Church, but our drummer has been called out of town and we
have been unable to come up with a sub.  If you are a jazz drummer and would
like to be a part of this ministry for at least one "gig," please call or
e-mail me ASAP, as we are getting desperate..

Avon Lake Presbyterian is at 32340 Electric Blvd in Avon Lake, just west of
Jaycox Road.  Services are at 9:30 and 11:00, and we will meet at 8:30 for a
brief rehearsal.  We are an easy-going bunch of guys (and gal) and you'll
have a good time!
