Dear Pals- I want to encourage anyone who is serious about advancing =
their opportunities, knowledge and appreciation for film making to =
attend the Cleveland Entertainment Conference and Party from 9:00 AM - =
Midnightish on Saturday, May 21. =20

I was a panelist when this team conducted the Midwest Filmmakers =
Convention; an invigorating, enlightening, packed and very worthwhile =
contribution of my time. I'm proud to donate my services as a panelist =
again this year for CEC. =20

That's right folks, panelists get NO PAY!! And It would take a really =
great paying gig or personal emergency for me to say "I can't be there."

I am one of 5 people conducting the panel/auditions CASTING CALL from =
9:15am - 11:00am, along with Fred Gloor- Co-Director of Cleveland =
Theater Collective & Actor, David Lemoyne - Actor, Gretchen Thompson - =
Agent/The Docherty Agency & Traci Williams - CEO/Owner Royalty Studios. =

This is what I call an "audition with benefits." You get to audition for =
a short film that will be cast & produced in one day and then premiered =
at the wrap party (and ONLY at the wrap party) later that night. The =
audition process offers the rare opportunity to get immediate feedback =
that you do NOT get when you audition for a an actual film, commercial =
or play. =20

Even if you are not cast in the short, it is a very worthwhile class =
disguised as an audition AND you can attend the panel/film shoot that =
takes place later in the day which is a class disguised as a film shoot. =
If you ARE cast you will get the opportunity to work in front of the =
camera with Filmmaker & Owner of StoneKap Productions, Chad Kapper. =
While shooting the short, Chad will be demonstrating methods for =
directors to communicate with their actors to get their best =
performance.

Pretty brilliant concept if you ask me! From audition to production in =
ONE DAY! Can you say Digital?

The day is packed with panels covering vital aspects of film production. =
Get the vast knowledge and elbow rubbing interaction offered by each =
and every panelist and special guest for the incredibly low cost of $65 =
in advance and $80 on the day of the event. THAT is a DEAL!

This conference is yet another great way to foster an informed and =
unified arts community. Be a part of it!

Visit http://www.clevelandentertainmentconference.com for more. =20

  Cleveland Entertainment Conference

  May 21st, 2005

  8:00 am-4:30 pm (7 pm wrap party)

  =20

  Lights! Camera! Action!

This year's Cleveland Entertainment Conference (CEC) promises to be =
bigger and better than ever, with local and national "stars" and a part =
for you to play!

This one-day event promotes the regional entertainment industry by =
providing educational workshops to develop local talent. The day is =
packed with panels led by entertainment industry experts covering topics =
on acting, filmmaking, and marketing.

This year, special guest speakers include Anthony and Joe Russo, =
Writers / Directors ("Welcome To Collinwood", "LAX", "Arrested =
Development"), Erica Beeney, Writer / Winner of HBO's Project Greenlight =
("Battle Of Shaker Heights", Universal Television, Viacom, Sony =
Pictures) and Don Scott, Writer ("Barbershop", "Barbershop 2", =
"Charlie's Angels 2", and "Mr. 3000"). A complete list of panelists can =
be found by visiting www.clevelandentertainmentconference.com

As a conference attendee, you will also have the opportunity to =
audition for a short film to be shot in an afternoon workshop. During =
this Casting Call workshop, aspiring actors will audition in front of =
industry professionals (including talent agency representatives, casting =
directors, and acting coaches) and receive feedback on how to improve =
their auditioning technique. From the session, industry professional =
panelists will cast 3 people to act in a short film workshop. Directing =
actors, led by StoneKap Productions Owner, Chad Kapper, will take those =
3 actors and direct them as they star in a short film. At the same time, =
aspiring directors will learn how to communicate with actors to get the =
ideal performance. =20

The finished short film will premiere at the wrap party.

***Attendees interested in auditioning must pre-register for the =
Casting Call workshop and be assigned a number. They must be present =
when their number is called and it is first come first serve basis.***

The price of the event is $65.00 (pre-registration) / $80.00 (day of =
the event-cash only). Registration, workshop, and panel information can =
be found at www.clevelandentertainmentconference.com. Further questions =
should be directed to (216) 556-2322.
