Cleveland, Ohio - The Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theatre Program
presents a two week run of Schoolhouse Rock Live! beginning Friday,
April 22. Parents who remember the songs and cartoons from their
childhood Saturdays should not miss this opportunity to share the
tradition of Schoolhouse Rock with their own children.

Based on the award winning Saturday morning cartoon series, Schoolhouse
Rock Live! brings the pop culture phenomenon from the 1970's and 1980's
to a brand new audience. Adults will recall the memorable tunes
introducing basic concepts of grammar, math, science and history as
children hear songs like "3 is the Magic Number" and "My Hero, Zero" for
the first time. As entertaining as it is educational, perhaps the most
valuable lesson Schoolhouse Rock Live! teaches is that learning can
indeed be fun.

This Youth Theatre production features a huge cast of students involved
in Beck Center education and Theatre programs, many of whom are being
exposed to this classic material for the first time. Director G. A.
Tagget says of his young and talented cast, "The cast has been an
absolute joy. They've worked extremely hard to put together a really
wonderful production." Tagget remembers the cartoon series fondly, and
invites audiences to join him for "a trip down memory lane - remembering
the songs of Schoolhouse Rock."=20

Schoolhouse Rock Live! opens April 22 and runs through May 3. Show
times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children. All tickets are subject
to a $2 service fee. Discounted rates are available for groups of 12 or
more. Tickets can be purchased through the Beck Center Box Office at
(216) 521-2540. The Beck Center for the Arts is located just ten minutes
west of downtown Cleveland at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
