 8:30PM: Tom Abbs (nyc) Multifarious "Prehension Suite": Music for
simultaneous bass, tuba and percussion (he plays all of them at once!),
projected visualizations by painter M.P. Landis (nyc)--a one-man trio
interacts and spars in a collaborative cinematic event. Dedicated to
people with mental illness.
2nd half of evening: Alignment: Meditative music for trio. Tom
Abbs-bass; David Badagnani (Kent, Ohio)-double reeds, sheng, accordian,
viola da gamba; Joe Culley (Kent)-electroacoustic tabla, tar, salad
bowls; Chlo=EB Hopson & Beth Salemi Szpak, dance. Tickets $5-$15 =

workshop and workout for acoustic bassists of all levels. Bring your
