=20
Brecksville Mayor to play "Daddy" for BLT
Brecksville Little Theatre will present Del Shore's Daddy's Dyin (who's got=
=20
the will?) for its finale of the 64th season. This fast paced down-home=20
country-comedy is a heart-of-Texas-warming story  of a family full of colorf=
ul=20
characters that reunite when the imminent death of their patriarch is near.=
 =20
Daddy has suffered a stroke, is partially paralyzed on his left side, and h=
is=20
moments of incoherency are funny, spiced with intuition. He is played by=20
Brecksville Mayor Jerry Hruby. No stranger to the stage, and a great suppo=
rter of=20
the theatre, audiences will see a different side of our chief of the city.=20=
=20
His "children" are also played by seasoned actors and audiences may believe=
=20
they are truly related: Kim Tekavic as Sara Lee, the loyal middle sister a=
nd=20
beauty shop operator; Tonya S. Duus as Evalita, the shocking youngest siste=
r=20

my=20
Faye of the family, and oldest sister who can't help but be like "Momma";=20
and Mike Rogan as Orville, the only son and who never met a meal he didn't=20
like. Adding to the situation is the brother's abused wife, Marlene a "for=
mer=20
fatty", played by Diane Kulak and the youngest sister's latest fianc=E9, pl=
ayed=20
by Steve Harmath as Harmony, the hippy with a heart. (The Brecksville Littl=
e=20
Theatre on the Town Square welcome these two actors in their debut =20
performance.) Holding it all together is the grandmother, Mama Wheelis, th=
e only sane=20
one in the bunch, and played by Brecksville's own, long-time thespian, Judi=
=20
Kaye. The production is directed by Joe Svihlik, who wears many hats, (and=
 if=20
you saw "Sugar", many wigs), produced by Paul Virag, who also designed the=20
set, and stage-managed  by "stage-hand" Kathleen (cute-as-a-bug's-ear)  Brat=
ton=20
of Brecksville.  Performances are April 29, 30 and May 6, 7, 13 and  14 at=20
8:00 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Mother's Day May 8.   Performances ar=
