The Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Cleveland presents a group of
world-renowned classical musicians in An Evening of Classical Music for =
one
performance only, Sunday, May 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Stonehill Auditorium =
at
the JCC's Mandel Building.

Now in its fifth year, An Evening of Classical Music is produced =
annually by
Joseph Feldman, director of development for New Americans at the JCC. "I
wanted our audience's to experience a 'musical embrace' if you will from
many of the talented musicians who are part of Cleveland's New American
community", stated Feldman. "However, unlike in the first year of the
concert, this time they are joined by their talented American born =
friends
and colleagues," Feldman added. "All the musicians generously contribute
their virtuosity and time to perform in the concert. It is truly a =
wonderful
example of giving back and expressing gratitude for being made to feel
welcome here in the Greater Cleveland community."

This year's program will feature pianist Margarita Shevchenko and =
violinist
Lev Polyakin. =20

Ms. Shevchenko, one of the leading young pianists on the international
concert platform today, has been described as a musician of "uncommon
sensitivity and refinement".  She has toured throughout the world and is =
the
winner of seven major international piano competitions. =20

=20

Lev Polyakin, assistant concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, is a =
prize
winner of the Carl Flesh International Violin Competition in London and =
the
Romano Ramanini International Violin Competition in Italy.  At the age =
of 21
he was appointed co-concertmaster of the Moscow Chamber Orchestra.

Vladimir Deninzon is a violinist with The Cleveland Orchestra and winner =

the 4th All Russian Violin Competition in Moscow.

Lyubov Deninzon is a concert pianist from St. Petersburg and a member of =

Severance Trio. Her piano students are winners of several competitions.

Brian Thornton, a cellist with The Cleveland Orchestra, is a featured
soloist with many major orchestras in the U.S.  He has given several =
solo
performances at the White House.

Martha Aarons is a flutist with The Cleveland Orchestra and has made =
solo
appearances with The Cleveland Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, Aspen
Chamber Symphony, and the Ohio Chamber Orchestra.

Isabel Trautwein is a violinist with The Cleveland Orchestra and was
Concertmaster of the New World Symphony in Miami and the Naumburg
Award-winning Pacifica Quartet.
