Cleveland, Ohio - CREATIVE ARTS THERAPIES - Since the beginning of time,
the arts have served as a means of entertainment and personal
expression.  The 20th Century saw the advent of the Creative Arts
Therapies ~ the prescribed use of the arts, therapeutically, to
facilitate changes, or to maintain functioning, which contribute to the
quality of life.  Music and art therapists serve people of all ages with
special needs.  In therapy, the arts are used to set the occasion for
personal growth, so all individuals may further develop skills that help
maximize their potential.

In celebration of Creative Arts Therapies, the Beck Center has once
again teamed up with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and
Developmental Disabilities along with the Rocky River Adult Activities
Center to bring you Razzle Dazzle VI - The World Tour, Friday and
Saturday, May 6th and 7th. =20

This year's musical journey features songs from around the world!  Songs
that will put you on a plane to London, a train to Spain and have you
riding the big surf to Hawaii!  Special guests include The University
School Jazz Combo who will begin our voyage on Friday, May 6th.  The
Rocky River Adult Activities Center (RRAAC) Choir will open the show on
Saturday, May 7th. =20

After the performance, you are invited to view a "Razzle Dazzle" display
of artwork created by the distinguished and dedicated artists who
participate in the Beck Center's Creative Arts Therapies program.

This weekend event is sponsored by The Beck Center for the Arts, The
Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental
Disabilities, the RRAAC Men's Group a.k.a. The Testosteronie's, and the
Oatey Company.  Razzle Dazzle - World Tour begins with a benefit
performance on Friday, May 6th at 7:30 p.m.  The cost is $10 and
includes a reception and Chinese Raffle after the show, as well as an
opportunity to mix and mingle with the fabulous cast and crew!  The
second evening of this dynamic musical celebration is free and open to
the public on Saturday, May 7th at 7:30 p.m.

All shows will take place in the Beck Center Music Building at the
Armory located on the Beck Center campus. Tickets to the Friday night
benefit performance are available by calling the Beck Center Box Office
at (216) 521- 2540.  The Beck Center for the Arts is located just 10
minutes from downtown Cleveland at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
