The Shakespeare  Revue=20
Actors=E2=80=99 Summit Theater  announces the opening of The  Shakespeare Re=
vue by=20
Christopher Luscombe and  Malcolm McKee. The play which  consists of comic=20
sketches, songs and poetry about William Shakespeare, his  plays, and the ac=
tors=20
who perform them, will have a preview performance on Thursday, May 5,  and w=
ill=20
play through May 22 at Actors=E2=80=99 Summit Theater in downtown Hudson.  =20
The Play=20
Called by one critic =E2=80=9CA joyous  words-and-music anthology in loving=20=
mockery=20
of the Bard,=E2=80=9D this sparkling  entertainment is made up of the finest=
 comic=20
writing inspired by Shakespeare, as  well as classic songs and sketches by s=
uch=20
well-known talents as Stephen  Sondheim, Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Tom Lehre=
r,=20
Monty Python, and Dudley Moore.  It also features specially written material=
 by=20
contemporary comedians. =E2=80=9CAnd  what=E2=80=99s remarkable about the wh=
ole evening is=20
that beyond the often irreverent  laughter there are frequent glimpses of=20

Heading up the cast are veterans Greg Violand and MaryJo Alexander. Both =20
have appeared on the Actors=E2=80=99 Summit stage as well as at other theate=

region. They are joined by Shani Ferry who is appearing in her third product=

at Actors=E2=80=99 Summit, and Ron Lee Davis who was seen in last month=E2=
=80=99s production=20

The Shakespeare Revue will have  a preview performance on Thursday, May  5.=20
The official opening is May 6; with regular performances continue through Ma=

22, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00  PM  and Sundays at 2:00  PM.=20
Tickets
Preview tickets are $14 for all seats. Tickets are $25 on Fridays and =20
Saturdays and $22 on Thursdays and Sundays. College students and seniors rec=

$4 discount at all performances except the preview. Students under age 18 ar=
