The prestigious 2005 National Black Theatre Festival will be held August =
1-6, 2005 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  The theme for this year's =
festival remains the same as the past eight festivals: An International =
Celebration and Reunion of Spirit.

Because of the contributions that Karamu has made to black theatre and =
American theatre in general, the 2005 National Black Theatre Festival =
has chosen your company to receive its Theatre Company Longevity Award.  =
We would like to present you with this honor at the Festival's Gala =
Awards Banquet, which will be held on Monday, August 1st.  =20

The National Black Theatre Festival is a biennial event that brings =
together the black theatre companies of America and the world.  =
Approximately 20 companies are selected to perform during the week for a =
total of over 100 performances.

In addition, celebrities of television, film and stage, as well as =
practitioners and scholars present workshops and seminars throughout the =
week.  The Festival will also present the reading of over 25 new plays =
via its Reader's Theatre.

Furthermore, at least 6,000 children and teenagers will be served by the =
Festival's Youth/Celebrity Project.  The Festival's International =
Vendor's Market is a must see!  You will love the Festival's Celebrity =
Receptions, which end each evening.  Nearly 40 celebrities of =
television, film and stage will help us to celebrate.  Over 50,000 =
people are expected to attend this marvtastic theatrical experience.
