Forget everything T.V. taught you about lawyers. Based on candid interviews
with real trial lawyers, The Lawyer Play takes us inside the hearts and
minds of the everyday gladiators who work inside the coliseum known as the
courtroom. Written and performed by Jill Levin; Directed by Jyana S.
Gregory.

The Lawyer Play June 9 - June 19. Thursday - Saturday 8:00, Sundays at 3:00;
All tickets $10. Orthodox Theatre 6203 Detroit (5 min. west of downtown).
216-780-0365 or email jill at acting4lawyers.com for information and
reservations.

Jill Levin was seen as Barbara Ehrenreich in last season's Nickle and Dimed
at Cleveland Public Theatre (co-produced with GLTF), where she has also
performed roles in Summer and Smoke, Discordia, A Bright Room called Day and
The Hairy Ape, among others. She has performed in New York, Chicago and
Tokyo, and is a graduate of New York's Circle in the Square Theater School.
Currently she operates Acting For Lawyers, a training company which teaches
acting techniques for use in the courtroom and other public forums.

Jyana S. Gregory is the associate artistic director at Cleveland Public
Theatre, where she directed this season's Venus by Suzan-Lori Parks and last
season's critically acclaimed Dojoji, an adaptation of a Japanese legend. In
New York, she co-founded the performance company ACTIVE EYE, for which she
directed Buchner's Woycek. Other credits include work at Lincoln Center and
the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Jyana is a member of the Lincoln Center
Directors Lab and is a graduate of Yale University.
