Bay View, America=E2=80=99s oldest music festival, is located in Bay View, M=
ichigan,=20
on Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. A picturesque American Victorian to=
wn=20
is the backdrop for the festival.

The employment dates are June 15-August 16. The productions are:=20
The Fourposter, The Secret Garden, and La Boheme,
as well as a dance concert

Assistant Technical Director is responsible for assisting the TD and=20
mentoring the interns on construction, load-in, and tech of three production=
s (play,=20
musical, opera) in two spaces=E2=80=94a 250-seat and a 1700-seat proscenium=20=
theatre--as=20
well as offer tech support for a dance concert and youth theatre production.=
=20
The ATD must have high production values, excellent construction skills, an=20
ability to work with a variety of materials, as well as a working knowledge=20=
of=20
safety standards and rigging. The best candidate will be a willing collabora=
tor=20
as well as an efficient problem solver. There is a modestly equipped scene=20
shop on the premises but, not attached to the theatre venues so knowledge of=
=20
building to tour is helpful (the opera does go on a short tour). This positi=

very hands on and it will also require the supervision of two intern=20
carpenters, so there will be a significant amount of instruction involved. T=

must have good communication skills and be highly organized. Sets must be=20
completed (including painting) before load-in. There is a full-time scenic i=

Fee: $2,100 negotiable
