Join us at Cleveland IndieClub Monthly Networking Meeting - June 26,
2005
 
The Cleveland IndieClub (part of the worldwide Indieclub.com with over
200,000 members) meets every month, free of charge, for those who have
the passion for making movies using film or video (whether it is in
acting, directing, producing, writing, lighting or any other skill) and
are looking for others who have similar interests. Cleveland IndieClub
is administrated by Johnny K. Wu and generally hosted each month by
their members, which offers each an opportunity to create a variety of
interest and topic.

Topic: Visual & Computer Generated Effects in Film
 
Alan Tuskes has worked at several top effects studios, such as KNB
Effects Group, Stan Winston Studios, Rick 
Baker's Cinovation, Steve Johnson's EdgeFX, and many others, on films
such as Chronicles of Riddick, Van Helsing, 
>From Dusk 'til Dawn, Passion of Christ, Blade, and many others. Being an
advocate of the idea that the makeup efects 
people and the digital folks could co-exist in peace, he started
studying the use of Lightwave 3D, After Effects, 
Photoshop, and several other programs early on. This gave him the
opportunity came to move back to Ohio and 
still do the work he loves so well. (you can find more at the Internet
Movie Database) Alan also did some CG work for 
Johnny Wu's A Joker's Card and also taught effects at Cleveland State
University.
 

In addition, We will screen and discusss short films, scenes, and
trailers from:
 
- Carl Wilhoyte's Wolves and Doves produced by Matthew Honaker (11 mins)

- Larry Longstreth's The Eyeball Papercuts (21 mins)
- Ted Sikora's movie trailer Hero Tomorrow
- Larry Longstreth's Zombies in my Neighborhood
