=91INTO THE WOODS=92 AUDITIONS AT SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce auditions for Into the =
Woods.
=20
An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince =
Charming with a roving eye? A witch =85 who raps? They=92re all among the =
cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim=92s fractured =
fairy tale. When a Baker and his Wife learn they=92ve been cursed with =
childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the =
special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying and stealing =
from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the =
beanstalk). Everyone=92s wish is granted at the end of Act Once, but the =
consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous =

the direction of Solon High School Drama Club Advisor, Kristina J. =
Ferencie, with Solon High School Assistant =93Music in Motion=94 Director, =
Megan Brack, as Music Director.

Auditions are open to students ages 13-19. Please prepare one contemporary =
monologue and 16-bars of a song. Musical selections should be something in =
the style of, but not from, Into the Woods. Auditions will be held at SCA =
by appointment only on Tuesday, June 28 from 2:00 pm =96 6:00 pm and =
Wednesday, June 29 from 6:00 pm =96 9:00 pm. Please call 440.337.1400 to =
schedule an appointment. Callbacks will be held Thursday, June 30 at 2:00 =
pm. Rehearsals will begin Monday, July 18 and will be held in the late =
afternoon to early evening. There will be a $100.00 production fee for =
those who are cast.
