SOLON CENTER FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES
SUMMER THEATER CAMP WORKSHOPS AND=20
ADDITION TO THEATER FACULTY

Solon Center for the Arts is proud to announce it=92s summer theater camps =
and the addition of Dominick Chicotel to the theater faculty.
=20
The Theater Camp Workshop allows children grades 1-6 to explore the =
fundamentals of acting and performance with an emphasis on creative =
expression. Children will begin to understand how their body and voice are =
critical tools that build self-confidence and self-discovery while =
establishing a solid acting foundation. Through improvisation and use of =
the imagination, children will begin to develop as young actors and =
understand the rehearsal and performance process. Each two-week session =
will be filled with fun, excitement, activities and meeting new friends. =
Participate in one or all five camps for the ultimate theater experience!

The Theater Camp Workshop is taught by Dominick Chicotel. Mr. Chicotel has =
spent most of his career specializing in children=92s drama. He earned his =
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Ohio University and a Master of Arts =
in Education from Ursuline College=92s University School Teacher Apprentice=
 Program. Dominick currently teaches the arts program at The Intergeneratio=
nal School on Cleveland=92s East side. Previously, he spent two years =
working with children throughout Northeastern Ohio as an Actor-in-Residency=
 with Great Lakes Theatre Festival. He also held positions as an Actor-Teac=
her with Cleveland Public Theater and as a Family Drama Artist with =
RapArt.=20

Grades 1-3 meet Monday-Friday from 12:30 pm =96 3:30 pm. Grades 4-6 meet =
Monday-Friday from 9:00 am =96 12:00 pm. Sessions are as follows:
