Bodwin Theatre Company presents a staged reading of Euripides classic story
Trojan Women, in an exciting translation by Jean-Paul Sartre, with three

Friday, June 24th at 8:00 P.M.
Saturday, June 25th at 8:00 P.M.
Sunday, June 26th at 2:00 P.M.
Performances will be held at Notre Dame College, Great Room, located on the
3rd floor of the Administration Building, 4545 College Road near Green Road
and Cedar Road. The reading is offered free to the public, with the support
of Actors Equity, the professional stage actors union. A prolific writer
of over ninety plays, pacifist and humanitarian, in an age of constant
warfare, Euripides is one of the real fathers of modern drama. No stranger
to war, Trojan Women was written in protest to Athens involvement in the
long-running Peloponnesian War (431-404 BC). In turn, Jean-Paul Sartres
translation was developed in protest to Frances war against Algerian
independence in the 1950s.
The cast includes Jeanne Task as Hecuba, Bernard Canepari* as Talthebius,
Pandora Robinson, Magdalyn Donnelly, Sandra Manos* and Peter Manos* and
others, directed by Peter Manos (*denotes membership in Actors Equity).
Please join us for the play Edith Hamilton, author of the definitive volume
"Mythology," called the greatest anti-war play ever written. For
