Cassidy Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for APPLAUSE - winner of 5 
Tony Awards including Best Musical. APPLAUSE is a show that celebrates 
theatre - and answers the question, "Why do we live this crazy life?" - 
APPLAUSE!  ALL ROLES ARE OPEN!!
Offering great roles for performers of all ages, APPLAUSE (book by Betty 
Comden and Adolph Green, Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Lee Adams)is 
based on the movie "All About Eve" - a story of ambition, treachery and, 
ultimately, love.  Lauren Bacall won a Tony for her portrayal of an aging 
star who becomes eclipsed by her teenage Girl Friday, who has secret 
ambitions of her own.  
PRODUCTION DATES:  September 16 - October 2, 2005
AUDITION DATES:  Sunday, July 10th at 7:30p.m.
                 Monday, July 11th at 7:30p.m.

NEEDED ARE A LARGE CAST OF: Dancers who sing (look 16 to 30)
                            Adults (look 30 to 50)for speaking/singing roles
AUDITION INFORMATION:  Please come prepared to sing a "Broadway belt" type of 
song.  An accompanist will be provided.  Dancers please wear comfortable 
clothing and be prepared to move.
