Auditions will be held for Red Hen Production's fall show:
"Forbidden" by Pat Rowe
Directed by Karen Gygli -
This play was adapted
from Aimee and Jaguar, a true account of two women in love
in Berlin in 1942--the wife of a German officer and a Jewish
woman living "underground." It premiered in 2004 at the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival to great acclaim. Red Hen is proud
to offer the US premier of this show as part of our 10th anniversary
season.
Auditions will be held Sunday, July 17 from 5:30 to 8PM,
Monday, July 18 from 6:30 to 9PM
Location for Audtions and Performaces:
Black Box Theater
(Located inside Cabaret Dada)
1210 W. 6th Street, Cleveland.
The roles are as
follows:
--Felice, 21, Jewish, in hiding;
--Lilly, 29, wife of Nazi soldier, mother of four young sons;
--Old Lilly, late 70s;
--Erich, late 20s, Jewish, in hiding;
--Stella, early 20s, redheaded or blond Jewish "catcher,"
working for the Gestapo;
--Albrecht, Lilly's eldest son in his early 50s;
--Friedl, 60s, Lilly's neighbor;
--Max, 60s, Friedl's husband;
--Elenai, Felice's friend, half Jewish.
A minimum of five actors (four women and one man) are needed
if some of the above roles are doubled. Actors should
prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues no longer
than 2 minutes, and should be prepared to read from the

No appoitments necessary and all our encouraged to attend at start for group readings. If you are unable to attend the audtions dates but would like to audition, please call the Red Hen at 216-556-0910, leave a detailed message and the director will call you to arrange a seperate audition.
