CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OHIO =96Kalliope Stage finishes its second season =20
with Maltby and Shire=92s groundbreaking musical comedy BABY, playing =20=

June 24 through July 31, 2005 at Kalliope Stage in Cleveland Heights. =20=

Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at =20
2pm. For tickets go to www.KalliopeStage.com, or phone 216 321 0870. =20
Many performances are already sold-out.

BABY tells the story of three unexpecting couples on a university =20
campus as they suddenly find themselves expecting in this very =20
moving, very funny romp. There are the college students, barely at =20
the beginning of their adult lives; the thirty-somethings, having =20
trouble conceiving but determined to try; and the middle aged =20
parents, looking forward to seeing their last child graduate from =20
college when a night of unexpected passion lands them back where they =20=

started. Join Lizzie, Danny, Pam, Nick, Alan, and Arlene as they =20
tackle everything "in the family way." Paul F. Gurgol, Kalliope=92s =20
award-winning artistic director, presents this delightfully smart =20
story. A smart, energetic show with loads of charm, BABY has a =20
modern, up-to-date sensibility, with a hilariously insightful book by =20=

Sybille Pearson and a tuneful, contemporary score of showstopping =20
numbers by David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr.

ADINA BLOOM, local star of Kalliope=92s recent CHRISTMAS CAROL RAG and =20=

new director of Cabaret Kalliope, plays the role of Arlene in this =20
lively favorite. She is joined by Cleveland and New York =20
professionals, including KRIS COMER (Sylvia, CHRISTMAS CAROL RAG) in =20
the role of Pam. Ms. Comer is a gifted singer, actress, and director, =20=

and a skilled song stylist, performing classical, blues, jazz, and =20
swing, including engagements at The Supper Club and Roseland Ballroom =20=

in New York City. Ms. Comer is director of Kalliope=92s educational =20
program. CARRIE HALL returns to Cleveland and Kalliope Stage in the =20
role of Lizzie. She last appeared as Carrie Pipperaige in Kalliope=92s =20=

much-lauded production of CAROUSEL.

JOHN JENSEN plays the role of Alan. An Equity performer and theater =20
instructor at Case Western Reserve University, Mr. Jensen recently =20
moved to Cleveland after eight years in New York. SCOTT POSEY and =20
ANDREW SMITH make their Kalliope Stage debuts in the roles of Nick =20
and Danny. Mr. Posey is an accomplished local director and Equity =20
actor. Mr. Smith is a New York-based actor with regional and national =20=

tour credits who has recently started his own production company in =20
New York.

KIMBERLY KOLJAT (Ann, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC), RITA KLINGER, and JOHN =20
PAUL BOUKIS (Bob Cratchit, THE CHRISTMAS CAROL RAG) appear in =20
supporting roles.

Brad Wyner (THE CHRISTMAS CAROL RAG, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC,) musical =20
directs and conducts ROSS GULKO on keyboards, JOSH ROSEN on drums and =20=

AARON DORE on guitars.

This is the musical that brought pop sensibility to the Broadway =20
stage and launched the career of a young Liz Calloway as Lizzie. =20
Treat yourself to a night of incredible singing and genuine laughter. =20=

Kalliope Stage is the new professional musical theater at Cedar & =20
Lee. For more information, go to www.kalliopestage.com or phone 216 =20
