Improvisation Workshop for Artists of all Disciplines!=20
=20
In this workshop, Professor Stephen Rush, multi-instrumentalist Tom
Abbs, and virtuoso percussionist Geoff Mann will explore the joys of
improvisation. Starting with the simple elements of improvisation,=20
such as variation, repetition, and contrast, the participants will
explore the joys of spontaneous creation. Rush, Abbs and Mann will
encourage participants of all of the arts: music, dance and visual
arts. By working collectively and individually, the result will be=20
a group improvisation where each of the members of the workshop
plays, paints, moves (or whatever!) in a final collective moment of
joy and fun. All ages, and all art forms, are encouraged to
participate in this workshop. Visual artists are encouraged to bring=20
their own materials, and everyone should be prepared to move, listen,
and smile.
