SPOTLIGHTS PRESENT A LITTLE PRINCESS

The Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater is pleased to announce its second annual Youth Theater production, A Little Princess: The Musical. Show dates are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, July 15 - 24, at 7:30 PM. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens.

A Little Princess is an engaging musical adaptation of the classic story by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The show opens with a happy Sara Crewe, heiress to a large fortune. Enrolled at Miss Minchin’s seminary in Victorian England, her life takes a dramatic turn when she receives news of the loss of her father…and her fortune. Sara is forced by the greedy Minchin to become a servant and live in a wretched attic room. When a mysterious gentleman from India moves next door, curious things begin to happen. Book by Vera Morris; music/lyrics by Bill Francoeur. Directed by Tim Anderson and Donna Box. Starring Jackie McCrea as Sara and Danielle Mendheim as Miss Minchin. Also starring: Jana Burkhardt, Paige DeMattie, Scott Gorbach, Molly Halpin, Ivy Kasper, Neal Kennedy, Alex Kruse, Katie Landoll, Lauren Palumbo, Ben Pluim, Cameron Pluim, Chelsea Pluim, Jessica Posey, Devin Sutter, Lindsay Tryon, and Nicole Velotta.

Audiences will also enjoy a gallery exhibit by muralist/decorative painter Nicolette Capuano. Ms. Capuano is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design and an alumnus of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School. The exhibit will be open one-half hour prior to curtain and at intermission on performance dates.

A Little Princess is sponsored in part by Fifth Third Bank, Cox Communications, and Syed M. and Ayesha F. Hassan.
