Auditions will take place at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, located on the Broadview Center campus (9543 Broadview Road – 1/2 mi. South of Rt. 82). Readings from the script will be provided. Directed by Judith Mazur. Performance dates are Fridays and Saturdays, September 9-24, with a matinee performance slated for Sunday, September 18.

Blithe Spirit, written by Noel Coward, is a comedy with a ghostly plot. The play tells the story of a novelist who invites an eccentric medium to his home to get ideas for a story – but instead, he gets more than he bargained for. With the help of the medium, the novelist unintentionally summons his first wife from beyond the grave. The lady from beyond, still beautiful and mischievous, relishes in playfully tormenting her husband and his new wife. Available roles include: Charles Condomine, an intelligent English novelist; Ruth Condomine, his wife; Dr. and Mrs. Bradman, friends of the Condomines; Madame Arcati, a spiritualist; Elvira, the deceased wife of Charles; and Edith, the Condomine’s maid.
