Casting REEL RACE 2: Discovery Networks International and Australian
production company Octagon CSI are teaming up for the second season of
Discovery's reality documentary challenge, REEL RACE 2 (5x60). Discovery
is looking globally for 8 aspiring documentary filmmakers. As part of
the challenge, the filmmakers will be sent to different international
locations to produce a short documentary from start to finish under a
deadline and budget. The second season series will air on Discovery
Channel's Asian Pacific (including Australia and New Zealand), European,
UK and Latin American feeds in the autumn with the winning REEL RACE 2
producer receiving a Discovery Networks Asia production contract (based
in Singapore) and Samsung prizes. Interested English-speaking,
non-professional filmmakers or video journalists (over 21 of course) can
check eligibility requirements at www.thereelrace.com. Application can
be sent with a current photo and video/film sample to Octagon CSI c/o
