Hudson Players to Host Ohio Community Theatre Association's NorthEast
Festival This Weekend at Barlow Community Center

This weekend, July 9 & 10, the Hudson Players will be hosting community
theaters from across Northeast Ohio as they showcase productions from their
current season at the Ohio Community Theatre Association's NorthEast
Festival and compete for a chance to represent the region at the state
festival over labor day weekend.

Each participating theater will bring a half hour excerpt of their favorite
production from their current season to present. In the structured format,
each organization is provided ten minutes to set up any set, a half hour to
perform and then five minutes to strike their set. Afterwards, three
responders will provide five minutes of instant feedback and constructive
criticism for both the audience and cast. At the end of the festival
individual performance awards will be given out and theaters will be
selected to represent the region at the state level.

A great event both for theater lovers and students alike, it provides both
an opportunity to see a wide variety of great theater and performers along a
chance to learn from the responders about the components necessary for a
successful production. The festival is open to all with a full day admission
of $21 payable at the door. Productions start at 9 a.m. and run until 6 p.m.
Call 330-655-8522 for more information or send an email to
