Solon Center for the Arts is proud to present Into the Woods, written by =
James Lapine with music by Stephen Sondheim, August 11 =96 14. The =
production is sponsored by Solon Civic Club.

An ambivalent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Ridinghood? A Prince =
Charming with a roving eye? A witch =85 who raps? They=92re all among the =
cockeyed characters in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim=92s fractured =
fairy tale. When a Baker and his Wife learn they=92ve been cursed with =
childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the =
special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying and stealing =
from Cinderella, Little Red, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the =
beanstalk). Everyone=92s wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the =
consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous =

=92s Stepmother, Brittany Meyers as Florinda, Joung Lee as Lucinda, David =
Lerner as Cinderella=92s Father, Sara Lerner as Little Red Riding Hood, =
Justine Kunstler as the Witch, Jenny Littman as Cinderella=92s Mother, =
Scott Zolkowski as the Mysterious Man, Dan Takacs as the Wolf and =
Cinderella=92s Prince, Amy Merholz as Granny, Nina Takacs as Rapunzel, =
Kevin Henderson as Rapunzel=92s Prince, Jared Klein as the Steward, =
