Carousel Signs American Idol Finalist for upcoming Footloose Production

Akron, OH.... American Idol Finalist (Season 3), Camile Velasco, will
star and lend her powerful vocals to Carousel Dinner Theatre's
production of Footloose, running September 14 through November 12.

Velasco will be featured in the hit song "Let's Hear it for the Boy," in
this rockin' production of Footloose. The Carousel, along with
Director/Choreographer A.C. Ciulla, Tony-nominated choreographer for
Footloose on Broadway, put its own spin on this musical by adding a rock
concert quality to the production.  The exhilarating dancing and
acrobatics are accompanied by the multi-platinum soundtrack with songs
from Kenny Loggins, Deniece Williams and Sammy Hagar.

Velasco was a top ten finalist on the hit show "American Idol (Season
3)," performing live for 25 million people week after week and was part
of the 48 city American Idol tour. She recently signed with Universal
Motown Records Group and is currently working on writing and recording
songs for her first album. Her debut single is titled "Hangin' On."
