Greetings,

Standing Rock Cultural Arts would like to announce a very unique project se=
t
to take place next to our North Water Street Gallery in Kent. Thanks to
Steve Balazs, owner of the building that sits at 237 N. Water St, a mural i=
s
going to be painted on the north side from September 2nd to September 11th.

The image will be an enlargement of a painting titled, =B3Love=B2, by Edwin
George. Mr. George is a full blooded Cherokee Native American who recently
was awarded the prestigious Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship
for 2005.
Mr. George lives in Kent and will be exhibiting this year at Art in the Par=
k
on September 10th and 11th at Fred Fuller Park.

This project is being directed by Crystal Birns who has a long history of
mural painting. Currently, Ms. Burns is volunteer coordinator at Shaker
Lakes Nature Center in Shaker Heights. She has just completed working on a
mural for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library and is
excited to be making a mural from an Edwin George painting.

Standing Rock Cultural Arts has agreed to sponsor this project and is
grateful to Steve Balazs for this opportunity to enhance downtown Kent
through the arts.

Anyone who would like more information can call Jeff Ingram, project
coordinator, at 330-673-4970, or visit the Standing Rock website at
