The Illusion Factory, Akron's own professional theater for young audiences announces Fall Theater School classes. Classes are held after school on Tuesdays or on Saturday mornings September 27- November19, 2005 at the Northwest Family Recreation Center, 1730 Shatto Ave. The fee is $60. for the entire (8) weeks.
Tuesday classes include:
Beginning Acting, 4-5 PM, age 7-8
Teen Acting, 5-6 PM, age 13 & up
Dance for Musical Theater, 4-5PM, ages 8 & up
Saturday classes include:
Creative Drama & Movement, 10-10:45AM, ages 5-6
Scene Study/Auditions, 11-12PM, age 10 & up
Acting, 10-11AM, age 9 & up
Playwriting, 11-12AM, age 12 & up
The Illusion Factory is a non-profit, tax exempt educational theater company supported through grants from area foundations, corporations and individuals as well as the Ohio Arts Council, which helps make programs available to broad audiences, keeping fees down, and allowing groups to undertake innovative programming as well as bringing artists into classrooms.
