This is the second posting. I have received some interesting replies, but
I'm still interested and looking.

CPT is looking for Teaching Artists for its nationally recognized Brick City
Theatre program.

Brick City Theatre offers on-site theatre programs to youth aged 6-13 at
community centers in Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority estates
(low-income housing). Children self-select to be involved with the program.
Teaching Artists lead children in creating, producing, and performing
original theatre pieces.

I have been working in arts education for over 14 years, and I would say
that this program is one of the most challenging for Teaching Artists, and
one of the most rewarding.

Interested applicants should use the following email education at cptonline.org
for all communications. Attach resume AND please include a brief statement
of theatrical experience, experience working with youth, and any experience
in creating original theatre works.

Teaching Artists work on an independent contractor basis and typically teach
two or three after-school classes a week. Starting Teaching Artists
typically make $90-150/wk, depending on number of classes, experience, and
level of responsibility.

Last Season Nina Domingue, Sheffia Dooley, and Jasper Howard did a great job
leading programs at two sites, resulting in fabulous performances and great
experiences for the youth. If you want an insider's viewpoint about Teaching
for CPT or Brick City Theatre, I would recommend you contact them.
