The Hudson Players Announces Benefit

An original musical comedy cabaret written by Cleveland native Greta Rothman
will be performed at Hudson, Ohio's Barlow Community Center, 8:00 pm,
October 7, 2005.  The performance, sponsored as a fundraiser for The Hudson
Players, is entitled, "Those Seven Little Words: I Love You, So You're
Probably Gay."  Proceeds from this one-night-only performance will go to
Hudson Players operating expenses.  Reservations are suggested:
330-655-8522. 

The playwright, Rothman, wrote and developed "Those Seven Little Words" at
Rose's Turn, a cabaret in Greenwich Village.  It tells the story of a single
woman with a chronic, uncanny and often hilarious ability to fall for men
who happen to be gay. The show includes such pop standards "One for My
Baby," "I Can't Make You Love Me," "I Get a Kick Out of You," ABBA's "The
Name of the Game" and more. 

The show is appropriate for audiences 18 years of age and older. Tickets are
$20.

The Hudson Players have been named "Theater of the Year" by the Ohio
Community Theater Association.  The community-based theatre group is
celebrating its 61st season by performing; "Forever Plaid" October 28, 29,
November 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 18 & 19 (Auditions: September 11 & 12); "Barnum"
February 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24 & 25 (Auditions: November 6 & 7);
"Deathtrap" May 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 & 20 (Auditions: March 5 & 6).  All
performances are $12 and season passes are available.

Rothman was raised in University Heights and is no stranger to Cleveland
area audiences. She has performed as a special guest vocalist with the North
Coast Men's Chorus and in local theatre productions.
