The Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater will be holding open auditions for its annual family event, the “Enchanted Hollow.”  The Spotlights are seeking creative performers of all ages to bring storybook and other popular children’s characters to life.  Auditions will be held Monday, September 19 at 7:00 PM.  Auditions will take place at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Building, located on the Broadview Center campus (9543 Broadview Road – 1/2 mi. South of Rt. 82).  Those auditioning should prepare an original skit, scene, or monologue (five minutes or less) that would appeal to young children.  Performance dates are Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, from 1-4 PM.

The “Enchanted Hollow” is a family-friendly event with theatrical flair that offers a non-scary Halloween alternative to children and adults of all ages. Guests of the Hollow are guided along a meandering nature trail, where they will encounter various skits performed by the Spotlights’ players.  The Spotlights bring many familiar children’s characters to life at the Hollow; past productions have included the tales of fairy godmothers, mysterious mermaids, and friendly ogres, to name a few.  

The Enchanted Hollow is one-of-a-kind, and it has quickly become the Spotlights’ signature event because it is not offered elsewhere in the Cleveland area.
