Hello everyone,
Here is a digest of events news and information from the Oberlin
Conservatory of Music.
The Conservatory's first orchestra concert of the season is this
Sunday, October 2, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel, and features the debut
of Oberlin's new conductor, Music Director
Bridget-Michaele Reischl. The program includes Wagner's Prelude and
Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10 in
E minor, Op. 93.
On Monday, October 3, at 8 p.m. in Finney Chapel, the Conservatory is
hosting a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina relief. The concert is
free and open to the public, and volunteers will be staffing tables in
the lobby to accept donations for the American Red Cross. Read more at:
