Arts in the cathedral
2006 YOUNG ARTISTS SHOWCASE
 
Arts in the Cathedral is pleased to announce its 2006 Young Artists
Showcase. The purpose is to provide public recognition and encouragement
for serious young musicians in northern Ohio. The Competition is open to
instrumentalists in grades 10-12 whose permanent home is in northern
Ohio and who have had at least 3.5 years of private study on their
instrument.
Applicants are required to submit a completed Application, audition tape
and other materials by January 10, 2006. 
After an initial screening process, approved applicants will be invited
to participate in live auditions where the judges will select
approximately 8 winners who will each perform one selection (5-6 minutes
in length) on the Young Artists Showcase Recital to be held on Sunday,
March 19, 2006 at 3:00 p.m.  Each winner will receive $150.  
 
Interested applicants should contact Church of the Saviour at
216-321-8880 to request an Application and Audition Bulletin.
