Re:  AUDITIONS

Ø	Karamu Performing Arts Theatre will hold auditions for singers only for
its 2005 holiday favorite  BLACK NATIVITY by Langston Hughes.

Friday October 21   @ 6:30 pm

          Roles for:  Male & Female Singers - especially baritone & bass
 (singers should be able to move well)

Must Bring: Resume  and a Head Shot
Prepare:  Two (2) contrasting Gospel Songs -
(one slow and one up tempo)

BLACK NATIVITY is a story with rousing gospel music, vibrant dance,
brilliant costumes and majestic poetry which brings the traditional nativity
story to life. Michael Medcalf and Natasha Colon of The Cleveland
Contemporary Dance Theatre return to perform as Mary and Joseph.

BLACK NATIVITY  runs December 9, 2005 thru December 30, 2005, in the
Jelliffe Theatre
Performances are Thursday thru Saturday @ 8:00 p.m and Sundays @ 3:00 p.m.
	no shows on Saturday the 24th, Sunday the 25th or Saturday December 31st.
