Dear Friends of the Arts in NE Ohio,

My name is John Patrick Bray.  I am an MFA Graduate from the Actors Studio Drama School at the New School, a member of the Actors Studio's Playwrights/Directors Workshop, the Resident Writer for Off-Off Broadway's The Rising Sun Performance Company, a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc., and a published playwright.  I have had numerous Off-Off Broadway Productions, and I was commissioned to write a one act for the Brooke Point Players at Brooke Point High School in Virginia.

My friend Terry Sandler, who was a member of your community until he made his pilgrimage back to New York State, informed me about this list.  I would be very much interested in joining this list, as I'm hoping to branch out and learn more about theatre organizations and colleges across the greater U.S.

For example, I have been submitting my full length play 'Hound,' an absurdist look at the Hound of the Baskervilles which puts the spotlight on the grieving widower Dr. Watson (rather than Sherlock Holmes), to various theatre companies and universities all over New York.  It is presently up for an award in San Fransisco, but has yet to be produced.  

Also, because of my contacts in New York, if someone has a project and they need to meet people, I can at least steer you in the right direction.
