Northern Minnesota's Bearded Child Film Festival will be taking the 
nation by storm this fall with a selection of experimental, low budget, 
and extremely bizarre short films. For the past five years, the festival 
has thrived within the obscurity of Grand Rapids, Minnesota-- a mill 
town of under 8000 people located 150 miles northwest of Minneapolis. In 
order to develop a niche within the crowded world of festivals, the 
Bearded Child specifically seeks out work that is often "too weird" or 
too "lo-fi" for many festivals. The festival has encouraged filmmakers 
to push the boundaries of corporate film culture, while entertaining 
local crowds of pseudo-lumberjacks and old women in the process-- a 
curious venture to be sure.

     Attendees should expect a mix of experimental films, oddball 
comedies, and the bizarre. Many of the films have never been shown 
outside of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. "Craziness is our number one 
priority. After that, it better really rock our socks!"
              
The Screening Will include:

"AliNation" 5min. By Nara Denning, San Francisco, CA - A shocking 
expose' on the reality behind the cubical. WATCH as ALIENS use our 
corporate American culture to breed stupidity and EVIL!!

"In the Red" 4min. Comedy. By Lucy Weisman, NYC -Educational film about 
menstruation!

"Gas 'n Fuel Training Video" 15min. Comedy. By Joe Pricket, St. Paul, MN
-Corporate video making at it's finest.

"Timmy's Wish" 9min. Comedy. By Patrick Cannon, Los Angeles, CA

"Donkey Harvest" 10min. Surrealist Narrative.
By Allan Brown, Montreal, CANADA -A factory worker loses his job. On his 
return home to his family, he embarks on a surreal journey where he is 
confronted with an environment at odds with his social reality.

"Crimson" 9min. Horror. By Al Kratina, Montreal, CANADA
- A romantic comedy about life, love, and loyalty. Only it's not funny. 
And there's lots of blood.

"Bury a Horse" 2min. Animation. By Luck Holden, Bemidji, MN
-Unless you've tried it, you have no idea how hard it is to bury a horse.

"Walk for Walk" 10min. Animation. By Amy Lockhart, Vancouver, CANADA
-Animated mayhem from north of the border.

"Radiation Can Give You Brain Tumors" 15min. Wacky. By Matthew Silver, 
Bergenfield, NJ -Silver's first film. Possibly the most bizarre work 
every shown at
the Bearded Child.

"Season's Greetings" 2min. Rural Oddity. By James W. Harris, Rydal, GA
- The holidays are a time for warmth, joy, magic and surprises. A
heartwarming holiday fantasy from the director of "Flesh Orgy for the
Zombie Totem."

"The Milkman" 9min. Narrative.
