Come to the book sale at the Western Reserve Historical Society Saturday
& Sunday, November 12 & 13!  So much more than books for sale!  Like

War, Ohio history, how-to, children's, poetry, biographies...and well,
let's just say it's a little different that your average book sale.=20

Admission to the book sale is FREE. All proceeds benefit the Historical
Society's genealogical library, one of the top five research libraries
in the country. (Did you know that?)

When, you ask...when is this incredible sale?

This Saturday November 12 from 10 to 4=20

Sunday, November 13 from noon to 3 - half-price day!

ALSO, in case you're in shopping mode, the WRHS, partnering with the
Cleveland Botanical Garden and the Museum of Natural History are
collectively hosting a special shopping preview evening on Friday,
November 11 from 5:30 to 8:30. Here at the Historical Society, we're
hosting poster artist Dale Gallis (you know - the pen & ink "Cleveland"
posters with all the buildings, and also "Ecumenical Cleveland" with all
our famous houses of worship)...he's also done a new "Millionaire's Row"
poster for us because of our current exhibition. He'll be signing any of
those for you. (You know, after you BUY them. Don't be a wise guy.)

AND photographer Ian Adams will be here as well signing his book about
the Cuyahoga National Park (of which Hale Farm & Village is part)...just
so you weren't puzzling over the connection. It's a completely gorgeous
book for anyone who's into photos and/or incredible scenery...a little
treat for yourself maybe? Or something to finally shut up that snotty
relative who's always asking you why - exactly - do you bother living in
NE Ohio.

Now head's up on this...the book sale is also taking place on Friday,
BUT it's a member's night only. If you're REALLY into books, you can get
a membership on the spot (individual $40/couple $55) plus parking on
Friday ONLY is free. However as talented (but perhaps starving) artists,
you might want to wait until the free admission dates to browse.=20

Finally, you probably know this part, but see the statement immediately
above...The Western Reserve Historical Society is at 10825 East Blvd. in
University Circle in Cleveland. Our parking lot is behind the building.
(Entrance off Magnolia.) It costs $5 to park in our lot...there's other
parking on the street (meters) as well.=20
