ANNOUNCEMENT:

FINAL WEEKEND --

The Case/Cleveland Play House MFA Acting Program is proud to present the=20
Third Year MFA students in Their Classic Repertory performances of --

Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (one of his most popular comedies)=20
and Pierre Marivaux's THE TRIUMPH OF LOVE (one of his best known comic=20
masterpieces) in rotating rep in the BROOKS THEATRE at The Cleveland Play Ho=
use.

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM - Directed by Mark Alan Gordon
Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy infused with the flavor and spirit of=20
the Roaring '20's - an era where Robber Barons created their own rules and=20
governance, and supernatural intervention reminds us once again how bumpy th=
e path=20
is, for "the course of true-love never did run smooth."
=A0=A0=A0=A0 [November 9, 11, 17 and 19 at 8PM. Matinee: November 19 at 4PM]

THE TRIUMPH OF LOVE - Directed by New York City Guest-Director Jonathan=20
Silverstein
Deftly mixing the subversive Italian commedia dell'arte and the more refined=
=20
and tragic French theatre of its day, Marivaux's hilarious classic pits=20
passion against reason, slapstick against tragedy, The Triumph of Love is a=20=
classic=20
tale of the lengths we go through for love. Princess Leonide wishes to resto=
re=20
the throne to its rightful heir, young Agis, with whom she has fallen=20
instantly in love. Agis lives in seclusion with a philosopher and his unmarr=
ied=20
sister in a house where love has been forbidden to enter. Undaunted, Leonide=
 and=20
her maid disguise themselves as men (and back again as women!) in order to s=
neak=20
by the philosopher and his sister, gain Agis' love, and restore the throne t=
o=20
its rightful owner.
