"A Theatre Grows in Cleveland" by Hannah Stofan and Alex Phillips

This ten minute two-character piece placed fifth in the nation in the =
National History Day contest two years ago. It will celebrate Karamu's =
90th anniversary for the Youth Theatre program. Written and performed by =
Alexander Phillips and Hannah Stofan from Birchwood School in Ohio, the =
original title was "A Theatre Grows in Cleveland: Exploring Racial =
Equality Through the Dramatic Arts."  It depicts the colorful life of =
Russell and Rowena Jelliffe who founded the Playhouse Settlement in 1915 =
that later relocated in the 1940's and was renamed Karamu House.=20

"Going To School" by Ed Monk

Nick is going off to college for the first time. The only problem is, =
his family is taking him -- his mother worries he will starve to death, =
his father forgot his tuition check, his teenage sister doesn't see why =
she has to go, his younger sister just wants to go to her ballet =
recital, and his grandmother "don't hear so good no more." It's going to =
be a fun day.=20
