Film is traditionally an apprentice/mentor trade. Cleveland needs to look at=
=20
success if it wants success. Hollywood production has been crippled by =E2=
=80=9C
run-away=E2=80=9D production for the past decade. Why? Because LA taxed TV a=
nd film=20
productions into the red. Where did they run to? Not Cleveland ... Canada. =20=
Where the=20
weather is just as bad.
=20
1) Study what Toronto and Vancouver did to entice Hollywood runaway=20
productions.
=20
2) What is the best film school in Cleveland? Make it better. If Cleveland=20
had a world class film school it would do the unthinkable =E2=80=93 attract=20=
talent.=20
=20
Urban Film Legend has it that Spielberg was rejected by USC, one of the best=
=20
film schools in the world. After his success he went back to USC bought them=
 a=20
film building and put his name on it. Where did Spielberg end up going to=20
school? Not Cleveland.=20
