Cleveland IndieClub FREE Monthly Networking Meeting - December 18, 2005

have the passion for making movies using film or video (whether it is in
acting, directing, producing, writing, lighting or any other skill) and
are looking for others who have similar interests.

Cleveland IndieClub is administrated by Johnny K. Wu and generally
hosted each month by their members, which offers each an opportunity to
create a variety of interest and topic. Cleveland IndieClub official
website: www.clevelandindieclub.com

Sunday, December 18, 1pm to 4pm at

The Hyacinth Lofts
3030 East 63rd Street
Cleveland, Ohio, 44127
Please park on the street and enter from front of the building.
Dial 022 to be buzzed in

Hosted by Bill Johns, Cinevid Productions

Guest speaker: Maureen Dempsey, LA Acting Coach

Topic: Transforming your good film into great film through the
performances of your actors

Originally from Cleveland she spent more than 10 years working in the
industry in Los Angeles. In Decembers meeting she will discuss ways in
which you can take your "good" film and make it "great" through the
performances of the actors. She will cover what to look for in the
audition process and point out the key signals of a great actor. Then
she will cover what to do to get the best performance possible out of
any cast. Filmmakers have a lot of responsibilities and so much time and
money are spent on the technical side of the process and oftentimes the
actors get the least amount of attention yet the performances,
especially in low budget movies, are the make or break factor. There is
a fine line between cheesy and awesome.

In addition, Cleveland IndieClub will screen and discusss short films,
scenes, and trailers from:

- 16mm Scratch and Sniff film loop with live-time alterations, a
collaboration between Jerry Mann and Zack Hay
- Tony Samangy's behind the scene footages for 3:18 (15 mins)
- The Pain Within by Johnathon Portman (7 mins)
- Cleveland Classic Cinemas from Nick D'Amico
- NBTV Pilot Episode (29 mins)
- Bill Johns' latest feature film Madness scenes

Raffle for DVDs from your local filmmakers
