The Ground Floor Theater, a new 260-seat full-service comedy venue locate=
d on Coventry in Cleveland Heights, is proud to announce the inaugural Cl=
eveland Comedy Challenge. The competition begins Wednesday, January 11th =
at 7:30 PM and takes place over six weeks. $500 (that=E2=80=99s right, FI=
VE HUNDRED green ones) going to the ultimate winner. Every week, eight co=
mics will perform 10-15 minutes of their routine, with two finalists each=
week selected to go on to the semi-finals in week five. The eight comics=
in the semi-finals will compete, with four comics being selected to go o=
n to the finals in week six. The week six winner walks home with $500. Wi=
nners each week will be determined in part by audience vote and in part b=
y a three-judge panel.
