FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - January 13, 2006

=20

Rabbit Run Theater in Madison certainly has a rustic charm to it, but =
broken seats may be a bit too much. Except for a brief hiatus in the =
1970's, the theater has been in operation for almost 60 years. In 1953 =
the barn theater was renovated including the seating currently in use.

=20

That was over fifty years ago, and the original seating installed in =
1953 was "used" before it ever reached Rabbit Run. In the past several =
summers, more than once a conscientious patron has handed a broken-off =
piece of their seat to an usher, with the hopes that with some glue and =
a C-clamp the seat could be fixed.

=20

It is time to replace the old wooden seats. Rabbit Run Community Arts =
Association which operates the Theater is looking for 300 replacement =
seats for the barn. Because the structure is unheated and subject to =
the elements, and with an intent to maintain the historical integrity of =
the building, RRCAA is looking for wooden seats with metal frames that =
were commonly seen in older church and school auditoriums. Ideally, the =
theater would like to replace the current seating in the spring before =
the 2006 summer season begins.

=20

Anyone with information or questions may contact Brint Learned, =
executive director of RRCAA, at 428-5913. =20
